Since launching in 2022, the After Hours til Dawn Tour played 141 shows through Aug. 1. Those dates have collectively grossed $910.1 million and sold 7.1 million tickets, making it the fourth-highest grossing tour of all time behind treks by Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and Elton John. According to Tesfaye’s team, another dozen shows that have played since and almost two dozen more on the books will make it the third tour to gross more than $1 milliard.
In terms of gross and attendance, it is the biggest tour by an R&B artist and biggest tour by a Black artist in Boxscore history.
The Weeknd is the first R&B artist to lead the Top Tours chart in 2026 and is only the third to do so in the ranking’s seven-year history. He follows Beyoncé, who did it seven times between 2023-25, and Chris Brown, who led a three-peat last year.
Speaking of Brown and R&B chart-toppers, his and Usher’s co-headline The R&B Tour is No. 3 in July with $98.4 million and 538,000 tickets sold. Including the tour’s opening shows in June, plus an Aug. 1 show in Syracuse, N.Y., it earned $115.9 million in its first 16 shows with more than 40 left to report.
Sandwiched between these R&B juggernauts is BTS, at No. 2 with $102.5 million and 582,000 tickets. The group’s four stops in July – Brussels, London, Munich and Paris – land at Nos. 3 and 5-7 on Top Boxscores. As with The Weeknd’s tour, Paris was the biggest, generating $30.6 million from 185,000 tickets.
BTS previously crowned the Top Tours chart in April and May, in addition to two prior wins on earlier tours. After sliding to No. 6 in June with a lighter schedule of shows, a bulked-up run of eight dates (still light compared to The Weeknd’s 14) brings them back toward the top of the list. One month after Bad Bunny joined the club, BTS becomes the third act to gross a reported $100 million in multiple months, in addition to Beyoncé.
This also marks the second time that two tours have grossed more than $100 million in the same month, after the one-two of Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar & SZA in May 2025, both over $150 million.
Since kicking off in April, BTS’ Arirang World Tour has earned $433.2 million and sold 2.3 million tickets over 38 shows through Aug. 11. It is already, by far, the biggest tour of the group’s career and is scheduled to continue through March 2027.
Altogether, the month’s top 30 tours grossed a reported $1.155 billion and sold 8.189 million tickets, marking record highs since Top Tours’ 2019 launch. Beyond the chart’s publication, it’s the highest-grossing calendar month in the history of the touring industry, by reported grosses. Even accounting for unreported figures for Swift’s gargantuan The Eras Tour, it’s highly unlikely that any month in 2023-24 could have caught up.
The previous best was in June 2025, with $1.029 billion and 7.534 million tickets. This month’s figures exceeded the old records by 12% and 9%, respectively.
